Why I Love Teaching
Never stop learning and growing.
My teaching theories are tools to connect with the text, create comedy, and improve communication and innovation in the workplace. Focusing on the principles of scenic improv, I encourage agreement with our scene partner, working to advance the ideas already on the table, and add your own unique viewpoint.
Listening and responding in the moment creates a fun and engaging environment. In a truly collaborative environment the contribution of the whole team is greater than the sum of its parts.
I have created curriculum and taught workshops for The Atlantic, NYU Tisch, Northwestern University, Hope College, ShakesCon, Mosaic with American Theater Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Chicago Youth Shakespeare, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and a string of corporate events.
